Let’s Spread Kindness

Hi babes! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! We spent some well needed family time and we even got a new SUV! Beep Beep!🚗🚗

If you have been following along with me on here or Instagram you know that I always introduce myself as a believer in kindness. “Hi, I’m Lynn. I’m married to my college sweetheart and we have a 1 year old daughter, Lily. I love iced coffee & Target. I’m also a believer in kindness.” It’s my usual introduction when I’m meeting new mamas. Some people may roll their eyes when I saw I’m a believer in kindness but I say it because it’s my motto and I truly believe it.

There is so much hate in the world. Let’s be honest. Before having Lily I was scared to bring her into this world. Watching the news nowadays just makes me incredibly sad. There are some really mean people in this world. I knew before I became a mother I wanted to show my child how to be a kind person. It’s not hard to be kind to one another. A simple smile or a hello. Look at our children, when they see other children they light up and say hello. It’s seriously the cutest thing. Now if adults could just do the same thing wouldn’t we just be a little happier. Or feel better inside?

A simple smile could just make anyones day or even holding the door open for the person behind you. Whose had a door slammed in their face? ME. I always say, THANK YOU to those people as well. Because manners! LOL Who held open the door for a person and they completely walk by silent without a thank you? ME. At that time I do say YOU’RE WELCOME. I want that person to be like oops I should have said Thank you. Just a simple thank you is KIND. I mean you’re breathing so you should be able to say Thank you right?

Maybe I’m naive to believe in kindness. But if I can just make a different in just ONE person’s day then I’m happy! Even though Lily is only one I still make sure that she sees how I treat other people. I always say excuse me, thank you, please, hello, smile etc. I want her to grow up to believe in kindness as well. To be a kind person. Because really, who wants to have an asshole of a child? Be honest. LOL Or who wants to be that asshole of an adult who doesn’t smile back?

Let’s start this week on a good note. Be kind to one another. Spread kindness and love. 🙂

XO,

Lynn

  1. Love this!! And so true that it’s a cruel world and spreading a little kindness can make anyone’s day, but no kindness could actually break someone’s day as well!! Go you girl 😍

  2. Amen to this! I pray every night when I put Liam down for help to raise him to be a good, kind human being. There’s waaaaay too much hate in this world! And, it’s just easier to be nice.
