“I’m that mom who is a MESS.”

Happy Friday babes! TGIF! If you have been following along with my Instagram stories you know that it was a ROUGH week for us in our household! Lily had her first tantrum in the grocery store, tried to eat her wooden blocks and I had to dig out the wood piece out of her mouth (Yes, I was watching her play with the blocks and she still attempted to eat it), ran and fell bumped her head on her wooden rocking chair, and slammed her thumb into a drawer she couldn’t reach before but now can reach. Yepppp, it was quite a week.

Before I had Lily, I had this image of me being that mom who looks great all the time, who has all of her ducks in a row, and would NEVER be the Mom who looks like a TOTAL mess. Here we are now & Hey, I’m that Mom who is a MESS. And you know what? I don’t care! I may not always look the prettiest, hell I rarely ever wear make up. I always have some type of food or poop on my clothes. But do I care? No. As long as my child is happy & healthy I could care less how I look.

I’m that Mom who in the grocery store is bribing her kid with snacks to remain calm. I’m that Mom that looks a little stressed out praying to God she doesn’t have a tantrum. I’m that Mom who looks like a mess loading and unloading the stroller. I’m that Mom who looks like a mess at the post office with a baby in one arm and a box in the other opening my own door. I’m the Mom who is pushing her stroller while trying hold the door for herself. I know people are silently judging me and just staring thinking, “OH MY GOD SHE IS SUCH A MESS. She looks miserable.” You know what? πŸ–•πŸ»πŸ–•πŸ»πŸ–•πŸ»Yup! I may be a mess but little do they know I’m super mom and I am happy. I may be looking stressed out but do you see my little human? She is my happiness. She makes my world go around. You never know how hard and how much parents do until you become one yourself. So go ahead and judge me you outsiders.

Here is to all my mess of Mom’s. You are beautiful. Amazing. Super mom. YOU GOT THIS. No matter how hard it gets, YOU GOT THIS. THEY ARE SO WORTH IT.

Happy weekend Mama!!

  1. I love you and your realness!!! I’m dying laughing because I’ve been that Mom at the post office when Mike was deployed and I was sending him a care package πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ But oh well πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

  2. You are an amazing Mom! And if any woman with children looks at you that way and judges, they’re lying to themselves because there is no way their children have been perfect angels in public for their entire lives. You’re doing an awesome job!
